Museo Napoleonico

REBRANDING + VISUAL IDENTITY DESIGN

While studying abroad in Rome, I was tasked with the redesign of a museum of my choosing in order to showcase a closer connection to the museum than the previous one, as well as bring a modern and cohesive element to the branding system. I chose Museo Napoleonico, a museum dedicated to the life of the Bonapartes while they sought asylum in Rome. For the redesign, I chose to focus on the familial aspect to the museum as the previous identity did not, even though the theme was strong throughout the museum. The theme of family is showcased in the use of the bee, the symbol of the Napoleon family, and the laurel wings to symbolize Rome, the city they settled in. After designing the initial logo and visual identifiers for the museum, I then designed wayfinding, posters, stationery, building signs, web based media, and merchandise to help showcase the new system for the musuem.
